I admit that the idea was very creative and clever; as you move from one generation to the previous generation it slowly unveiled the pieces of the puzzle that Ida, Christine, and Rayona are entangled within. With this there was a sense of urgency to uncover the secrets of each individual but having to read detailed encounters of each character was rather unnecessary. In this novel there were numerous secrets which shocked the readers as they read and moved further into the book. Having to read parts such as when Christine and Elgin spent a wonderful night together, where more than just the act of talking occurred it took away from the excitement and made many readers drop the novel and pick up the T.V remote. Because of these situations it tires out the readers who want something more then just a description, like something exciting and shocking for example finding the truth about the identity of Christine who is actually Aunt Ida’s half sister. In this novel many are not able to comprehend the means of why this is happening and why that is happening partly because of the symbolisms used by the author.
