Growing Pains
..., you want to be a kid again. As a child, and even in my early teenage years, all I wanted was to be independent, have my own responsibilities, and know that I could take care of myself. Now that it is no longer an option, it’s a little hard to swallow. Now that I have to worry about college, career options, money, and everything else you become blessed with as you enter the adult world, I only wish that I had cherished my childhood years. Although this is a very stressful and emotional time in my life, it is also a very exciting time as well. For me, life is what you make of it, and no matter how stressful life becomes, I just remind myself that there is someone in the world who always has it worse, and there is also many others in the world who do not have all of the wonderful opportunities that I have been blessed with. At heart, my dream has always been to become a mother. Now, instead of measuring by stuffed animals, I have decided to have as many children as I can financially afford and adopt at least one. My reasoning for this is because I know that there are millions of children in the world who don’t have a family and were born into difficult circumstances. Therefore, I feel that it is my duty as a Christian to at least help one if not more. As for my career, other than being a mother, I do plan on attending a four-year college.
