Tradition to Modern?

...ch people started to use new materials for building. Fathy’s idea was to build ideal house for the ideal people. For the people with low income in Egypt, concrete masonry was too much for them. The material itself was too expensive. Fathy came up with idea of mud bricks. The concrete is a foreign material so it even cost more. But for the mud bricks, you could find and make mud bricks any where in Egypt. Also Egyptians used the mud bricks centuries ago and it is one of the most distinguishable materials to the Ancient Egyptian Architecture. So rather than looking and hoping toward the impossible plan(concrete), mud brick fit in the traditional category as well as the beauty of the Egypt. Even though the using the mud brick as a house building material is an old trick, there are advantages. First of all mud is lighter than the concrete, it was easier to make the house. Also, it kept the houses cool during the summer and warm in the winter. However, concrete houses become cold in the winter and too hot in the summer. Also, labor could be the problem.
