My Sister

...roughout our childhood together, Carrie and I have become one. On rainy days back then, we always desired to sit together and talk about our secrets and our loves and our lives. And on clear sunny days we would both be outside sitting under the trees talking, lying in the warm sunshine or doing something creative. Even though I miss those wonderful days when we could spend every waking moment together, we still spend every moment in our busy lives finding a space for each other. When I need a laugh, I run to my sister. She is always full of smiles. Even throughout the roughest trials in life my sister is always jovial. Whenever the sky is gray and gloomy, she turns it right around as if the sun had been shining for days! Some people in life are just not the kind of person you would want to be around. My sister is the exact opposite, she is kindhearted and joyful and I definitely enjoy being around her. Personality is a key quality in life. That’s what I enjoy most about my sister. Her personality overflows and spreads throughout her. Even on the most boring days in my life, Carrie will find something interesting to do; even if it means acting foolish on both of our parts, or being a bit destructive. I will never forget the time that we cooked together. Being the creative ones that we were, we decide to make sugar cookies. Instead of making more than one cookie, we thought that it would be the greatest idea to make one huge cookie for both of us to share. It wasn’t such a great idea after all. After watching the cookie drip and run over the edges of the pan and down into the oven, burning and smoking up the house we decided that what we had done was a mistake but as funny as it was, we couldn’t help but laughing about it the entire night. That is one reason why my sister is so vibrant. She is always putting the laughter and fun into everything in life. Maturity is important when it comes to our relationship.
