why i am who i am
...d family at home I would not have been able to accomplish the things I have in life. A My parents were at every competition I played. 1. I have played baseball since I was 4 years old. 2. I participated in football, track, and power-lifting every school year from the seventh grade until I graduated. B My parents instilled in me the drive and passion to finish anything that I start. 1 I needed an elective in highschool one year so I enrolled in band. I hated it from day one, but my parents encouraged me to see the class through until the end. 2 I am beginning to appreciated this value already in life, and I am sure it will mean even more to me as I venture into the real world. (The only reason I can drive through a city and remark that I have been here before is because I played sports there) Next, the first four years of my life are the only years I haven’t played sports. A Every year I played school sanctioned ball and then summer ball after the school year ended. 3. I began playing summer football after my seventh grade school year. 4. We started football practice the Monday after the school year and it ended about two weeks into the next year. B When I wasn’t playing highschool baseball I played in a “Sunday League”. 1. We practiced Sunday League twice a week and then played that following Sunday. 2. The league continued through the highschool season but I didn’t have time to play both so I would switch to highschool athletics. (I don’t know if I am getting slower or just more competitive as I get older) III. Lastly, I guess as I get older I am taking up slower hobbies, hunting specifically. A I have always loved the sport of whitetail hunting. 1. When I was too small to go on hunts I would still help process the days kill. 2. I knew where a deers tenderloin was before I knew where my elbow was. B I start getting buck-fever around the end of August. 1 Oats and Rye Grass ...
