...ms were blind to the experiments that had taken place, these stories have been circulated through the nation for roughly the past twenty years. There were even instances where unknowing test subjects had secretly been given LSD by CIA agents in an attempt to test the drug in an “operationally realistic” setting. Sounds like some forced guinea pig action to me! The sad part is that most of the documents with the information on the tests were destroyed in 1973 by the order of CIA Director Richard Helms. The even worse part is that the records that do remain to this day do not contain the names of the human subjects used in most of the tests.
