On the other hand Brian was encouraged by the love and support that gale was giving in his time of need. In the movie Rudy, Rudy was inspired by criticism. “My whole life people have been telling me what I could and couldn’t do. “I’ve always listened to them, believed in what they said. I don’t want to do that any more.” (Astin, Sean. Rudy. Dir. David Anspaugh. Tri Star.1993) Rudy was raised in a football environment. There was a great deal of pressure put on him because of his size. Rudy thought of football as an outlet. He thought playing football for Notre Dame would prove everyone who doubted him to be wrong. Rudy did just that. He spoke to a priest, who was able to get him one semester in a junior college. The priest told him if his grades were high enough he might be able to get in Notre Dame. Rudy developed a great deal of inspiration and was able to attend college there and play football for them. Varsity blues was a movie about a high school football team that had a corrupt coach.
