...oks and falls. Hearing police bulletins about his fight, he flees to Faber’s house. Police helicopters circle the air. He runs across a boulevard and sees a car that he thinks is a police car but really are children trying to run him over. Montag then breaks into a fellow fireman’s house and hides his books there. Arriving at Faber’s house, Montag confesses he is scared and doesn’t know what to do. He apologizes to Faber about bringing this upon him. Faber only thanks him for making him feel alive again. Faber advises Montag to follow the river down the old train tracks and walk along them in hopes that he will encounter one of the hobos. For Faber, he plans to go to St. Louis to track down a retired printer friend and use money given to him by Montag to print books.
