...mpete for the position. Because of this element, I decided that the best thing for me to do is red-shirt. I was hoping that the coach would play the best players. He wouldn’t even allow me to show what I bring to the table. This left me with different feelings. I began to lose my passion for the sport. This had me wanting to quit mentally. Also, I began to feel unappreciated. I was so angry and upset, I began to try to pursue other things. After coming to god in prayer, he began to work his mysterious ways and get me out my time of despair. The older faculty members at the school begin to agitate me in various ways. After being here for just two weeks, I noticed that they were in the box. I know you are wondering what in the box means. Being in the box means, a person has been doing something for so long that they began not to think and just do that something. This could be dangerous in some cases. People in the box hate people who provide practical and easier ways to accomplish tasks. People in the box feel that they been doing their task for so long, they don’t need help or assistance. They get discombobulated when caught in dialogue with a helping person. They tend to cut off people who try to help. They can be disrespectful and rude at times. You find these types of people living alone. Having authority and receiving compliments are the only ways they receive their enjoyment. I’ve noticed that they think they own everything on the campus. They are very disrespectful. They walk through you and don’t say excuse me. They are from a different era. They don’t want to advance along with the rest of the world. They don’t learn through dialogue well. Dialogue is a big thing in this day and age. Dialogue can get you through problem solving. In order for it to work, you have to be able to receive what a person is saying. You can’t just not listen and think you know it all.
