I found it interesting when the hare was caught, and everyone thought it would be best if Ootek and Alekahaw ate it to gather strength so that they could leave the camp to find the home of the white man and get food for everyone at the camp. I was happy when they found the white man’s home and when he let them in, but my feelings changed when I saw the way the white man treated the two men. I was very disappointed that he only let them have a small bag of flower when he knew that their people were dying of starvation.
