Count of monte cristo (book vs. movie)

In the novel Caderousse was Edmond's neighbor and helped him sent to jail. In the book Caderousse was not mentioned at all. This was probally because he played a very small role in the book so since the movie is abbriviated it leaves out little parts to focus on big actions. The revenge Edmond creates for his enemies in the book is very different from the movie. In the book The Count of Monte Cristo wanted to take Fernand's family away. Although, in the movie The Count sought to take only Fernand's money away. The book states that Edmond went after De Villefort's repuation. The movie clears says he went after De Villeford's riches. In this case the movie did not follow the same ending as the book did. To start things out in the movie Fernand and Edmond fight to win Mercedes. Edmond won the fight and Mercedes herat so finally they could be together forever. In the book there is no fight for Mercedes and her and Edmond do not end up together for he takes another lady into his heart. The ending of the movie does not contain anything about M. Morrell and Valentine while that is a huge part in the book. This part was not mentioned in the book for the fact that the events leading up to this ma...
