This conflict can happen when someone wants to play outside and the weather won’t allow it. An example of that is in a story called, “Through the Tunnel”. Written by Doris Lessing. The story takes place at a small beach in France. The protagonist is an English boy named Jerry. The antagonist is the tunnel, it’s very long, dark, and there’s no telling where and when it ends. The boy makes an effort to swim through the tunnel. He tries once and gets scared so you wonder whether or not he’s going to make it. The end result is after a couple of tries he makes it through. Her husband goes out and looks for it, with no luck, her and her husband decides to buy a new necklace without telling Mme Forestier what happened.
