... Coca-Cola has been sponsoring everything from local high school events and students to the International Olympics. They have sponsored the Olympics for over 65 years. They even have special soda cans made just for the Olympics. In 1996, the Olympics were held in Atlanta, Georgia, the home of the World famous Coca-Cola Company. The Coke Company has helped the people of Atlanta ever since its inception. Not only employing thousands of workers, but giving scholarships, donations, and contributions to many community organizations. Making their soda cans recyclable was another way to let the community know that they are concerned about the environment AND people can get a little money back while keeping America beautiful! Over the years the coca cola company has been awarded all sorts of awards. These awards deal with such things as, corporation of the year, top 25 corporations doing business with woman entrepreneurs, a company that cars, these are just awards given by other companies or communities. They receive awards in all 200 countries they are located in. They get awards for advertising, diversity, company, and brand awards. They have received awards for just about everything they can possibly get. Since the beginning of time, we have all heard about myths surrounding certain products, towns, events and the like.
