Reaction Paper to Oedipus Rex
...told him that he would kill his father and marry his mother. Every morning he woke up fearing that he would make the mistake that would ruin his life. He lives a wonderful life but he can hardly live it from fear of messing it up. A lot of people can relate to this. Oedipus Rex is a classic and good lessons can still be learned from it today. Tiresias was my favorite character. He was a prophet. He knew the information that would soon bring the king to ruin. Tiresias advised him to not be so inquisitive and Oedipus should have listened. Had I been in the king’s position, I would have listened to the prophet. He is a prophet and most likely he knows what he is talking about.
