Jehovah Shalom
...onfidence in the Lord's promises, and he experiences victory in Jehovah Shalom. We too are like Gideon. Fearful, slow to cast ourselves completely upon His steadfast promises and yet despite our unstable steps we find that when we draw near to Him in truth, He is there drawing near to us, promising that he’ll will never leave us nor forsake us. When we think about peace we most often think about the “perfect” times in our lives, and nothing disturbing what we think peace truly is. This is the definition the world commonly mistakes peace to be, but real peace comes only from Jehovah Shalom. If you truly know God as your Jehovah Shalom you can experience His perfect peace through any circumstance. Those circumstances that are troubling, disturbing, or distressing are absolutely real and tangible, but the truth is that because this peace is not like the world gives but is supernatural the troubling times can still be present and you can experience peace as you recognize the truth that Jehovah is you Shalom and Jesus is your peace. It is possible to experience perfect peace in tough times when you are crying out to Jehovah Shalom, running to the Strong Tower of his great name and being set securely on high even in the midst of the whirlwind surrounding you.
