Bush versus Kerry: The 2004 Presidential Election
...he same steps his dad George Bush Senior did, and start a war. War is unnecessary, in this day and age. The amount of kids that are fighting for our country and dying for what they believe is ridiculous. Bush did state that “justice will be done” in his speech right after the attacks. His views of the war are to just stay in war until we win. John Kerry does not seem to have a solid view point on the attacks he likes to contradict himself by changing his mind. In one speech Kerry is all for war and in the next speech he wants to end the war. Recently in a press conference John Kerry stated that “I believe that we deserve a president who isn’t going to gild the truth or gild our national security with politics, who is not going to ignore his own intelligence, who isn’t going to live in a different world of spin, who will give the American people the truth, not a fantasy world of spin, but a world where we challenge our brave men and women to be able to meet the test of our times” (MSNBC). John Kerry uses the word “gild” that is a strong word stating that President Bush covers the truth over and that America shouldn’t believe his statements. Also in a press conference with Bush it sounded as if no matter what if he gets elected again then the war will never be over until we have killed everyone in Iraq and all is said and done. According to the polls Bush is higher than Kerry but anything can happen from now until the November elections. America needs to realize that as long as Bush is in office America will be an open target for all terrorist. He has done nothing to help our country. Bush has put America into debt royally, and he put us in a war that shouldn’t have started. He has killed a lot of parents’ children. Kerry wants to change that, he wants to bring our loved ones home and end this war. All in all John Kerry does have a good heart and good intentions, but I think he knows that if he does become president he has a lot of mistakes that he needs to clean up that Bush made. In my opinion John Kerry should be president and President Bush has to go, he must leave. ...
