As the months went by after the 9/11 attacks, I starting giving it serious thoughts. What a coincidence it is that America was attacked only a few months after Bush had become president. Was there a reason for this? Would we have been attacked if Gore had become president? Probably not. The reason I say this, is because when Bush Sr. was the president, Saddam tried to have him assassinated. It made me wonder that is this over the things that happened in the past. This is largely the reason I will not join the Republican Party. I cannot support a President that has a huge hidden personal agenda that results in death of mankind. Even if this isn't the case, the evidence of the past and what has happened in the present still puts doubt in my mind. We cannot deny this. We cannot honestly say that this war had nothing to do with past events, which occurred two administrations ago. Iraqi civilians are very upset with the U.S because they were promised jobs rebuilding their war torn country and they aren't getting them. Ever gave a serious thought about this? Why was Dick Cheney's former Employer Halliburton, whom he was CEO of, awarded the very first contract to help rebuild Iraq? Now come on, wake up! There is not a doubt in my mind Cheney is greatly benefiting from this. Shouldn't the Iraqi people be benefiting the most from this sudden boom in jobs and not the guy that helped propose to blow it all up? And then charge the American people to rebuild it? In closing, I want to ask a question I’ve been pondering on since the start of the Iraq invasion. According to the 9/11 commission reports ’There is no connection between 9/11 attacks and Saddam Hussein.’ If Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda were the responsible parties of the 9/11 attacks, why then did we blow up Iraq instead? I know it was said that Sadam was helping fund Al-Qaeda, but again that’s what the Bush administration told the American people, but has not provided any evid...
