... the Saharan air mass contracts a cool moist. During the winter people visit Italy to ski, snowboard, and more on the Alps for a thrill. A bad thing about Italy’s climate is that it does have some natural disasters like earthquakes, floods, and an active volcano, but there is only one active volcano in Italy and it is Mount Etna. Italy is pretty much all about religions, customs, traditions, and clothing. The religion is 95% Catholic and though Italy is all but 5% Catholic, the church no longer a strong hold on the Italian people. Both tourists and locals enjoy visiting the lakes to windsail and kayak. Some holidays are a lot like the ones we celebrate in America, but Italians celebrate a lot more of them. Italy also has many festivals and carnivals throughout the country; there is a lot of singing, dancing, and celebrating with friends and family. Italy’s government is very unique. The republic of Italy is a Democratic country. The national government is headed by the president who is the symbol of power of the country; Italy current president is H.E. Carlo Azeglio. The government’s daily affairs are run by the Prime Minister. Its current Prime Minister is T.H. Massimo D’Alema.
