Neolithic Revolution

This was a great convenience in that there are now more forms of protection and public buildings. With the formation of a village, relations with ones extended family became less important. People grew closer with their immediate family and relied on neighbors more than relatives. The people as they domesticated became healthier. With farming, they could grow enough food for everyone and not have to live hunt to hunt. The food they grew could be stored and saved for winter months. Therefore people had more access to food than with the nomad way of life and were better fed and much healthier. Trade is also a new idea that arose from the Neolithic revolution. Farming communities could trade with other farmers for products that they themselves didn’t grow. Also they could trade with the people that were still nomads, so now they had grains and meat to eat. Their diet was able to expand. Trading brought on forms of writing. Records of trading were needed to be kept and so a form of notation began. This expanded when other ideas were written down. Trading with other areas of the world opened up many new opportunities for the former nomads. No longer were they as isolated from different areas of the world. By trading they could learn of news in other areas and of the people there’s ideas. People became more knowledgeable and technology advanced. Since they were staying in one place, people could now start an idea and finish it. This was when people really began to advance.
