Section 1 Overview 1.1 Introduction The purpose of this response to request for proposal is to introduce Team Amayo and its qualifications and proposals for the express purpose of ascertaining the rights to proceed with the expansion of the wide area network architecture for ACME, Inc. Team Amayo is a core group of individuals with over ten years combined experience in the information technology field. The following response will allow ACME, Inc. the ability to evaluate two suggested proposals from Team Amayo based on these years of experience. 1.2 Objectives We are basing the objectives for the two proposals on the requirements set forth in the original request for proposal dated October 19, 2004. Team Amayo agrees to comply with the following selection criteria. · The timely, effective and robust delivery of network services Response: Team Amayo complies with ACME, Inc. request for timely, effective and robust delivery of network services. Team Amayo further reiterates its dedication to ACME, Inc. if selected as the successful bidder and ensures the successful implementation of all milestones as set forth in the RFP on schedule and to effectively communicate the details of any delays that may come up. · Overall cost of proposed solutions Response: Team Amayo will provide overall costs for two proposals to the expansion of the wide area network architecture. Team Amayo will provide a breakdown of cost savings to ACME, Inc. in proportion to each proposal for accurate and unbiased evaluation. · Project management and implementation support Response: Team Amayo will comply with the request for project management and implementation support from beginning to completion of the project. Team Amayo will also supply options for support beyond completion. · Ongoing customer support including performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and billing services Response: Ongoing customer support is an integral part of Team Amayo policy. Team Amayo recognizes ACME, Inc.’s need for performance monitoring, troubleshooting and billing services and will make every effort to validate all requests. · Proposed Technology Response: Team Amayo will provide details and evaluation of all proposed technology recommended for the expansion of wide area network architecture. Further, Team Amayo will provide ACME, Inc. with private vendor information on all proposed technology. · Ongoing network optimization Response: Network optimization will be provided for one-year inclusive effective from the implementation of the project. We will cover any recommended changes necessary to optimize the network in the billing section (section 5.2). · Ability of Vendor to address future requirements Response: Team Amayo prides itself on keeping abreast of future developing technologies and will fairly address both present and future needs of ACME, Inc. Team Amayo is a team of professionals grounded on the past with an eye for the future of not only themselves but especially their clients. · Flexibility with regard to the delivery of service and support Response: Service and support are priorities of Team Amayo. Team Amayo pledges to deliver both service and support but is sensitive of the needs of ACME, Inc. to maintain its competitive edge in the industry and will be both proactive and reactive in establishing open lines of communication to keep support and service options flexible. 1.3 Scope We will base the scope of this proposal on ACME Inc.’s need to expand the wide area network architecture to increase communication capabilities to maintain its integrity as a leader in the manufacturing industry. Because of the varying market conditions and the acquisition of other entities, it is necessary that ACME, Inc. evolve its communication portals to match the growth of ACME, Inc. as a whole and integral part of the manufacturing industry. It is this foresight, which established ACME, Inc. as a leader and with Team Amayo’s proposals, the ability to maintain that leadership. Section 2 Support Team 2.1 Support Team Team Amayo began its journey into information technology by unconventional means. The team lead and founder, José Amayo, began his humble beginnings toiling daily in the rebar industry within the realms of computer programs designed specifically for that industry. While on his journey for deeper understanding of technology as a whole, Mr. Amayo met Charles Frankert, Fred Sari, Jr. and Jeff Stangroom. All four individuals had varying degrees of interest and aspiration in developing specific areas of expertise that would benefit the corporate industry giants in establishing communication standards by which other corporations would measure their worth.
