First things first, debutant director Rohan Sippy is here to stay. Kuch Naa Kaho, his first film, may not be a cinematic masterpiece, yet it is honest and is clearly reflective of Rohan's individual style. Raj (Abhishek Bachchan) lives with his mum (Suhasini Mulay) in the US. He detests the thought of marriage and is of the firm belief that 'love can't be arranged or ordered like an Italian meal'. Yet, he lands up in Mumbai, at his mamaji's (Satish Shah) house for his cousin sister's wedding. Mamaji is hell bent on finding a girl for Raj and thus starts bride-hunting. Namrata (Aishwarya Rai) works as a fashion designer with mamaji and is entrusted the responsibility of finding a bride for Raj. Needless to say, after a few futile attempts - Raj acting like a weirdo or sometimes pretending to be a father of two children wards off prospective girls - he falls in love with Namrata. A couple of dream sequences later, it dawns upon Raj that Namrata is a single mother. Her husband Sanjeev (Arbaaz Khan, stiff as always) left her seven years ago.
