A dinner that was the most memorable to you
...amily cooked three different types of chicken, baked, fried, and grilled. The fried chicken, my favorite, was seasoned with my mom’s special spices and slow cooked in spiced oil. I didn’t eat the baked chicken however it looked really good smothered in mushrooms and gravy. Our grilled chicken was smoked first then put on the grill. The smoker added flavor to the chicken and made it taste better. The smoker also did the same to the turkey before it was placed in the oven and cooked to a sizzling point. I’m not a real big fish eater but the grilled salmon could convert anyone into a big fish eater. Marinated in a special sauce and slow cooked on the smoker brought out the real flavor of salmon. Secondly that came were the vegetables added to this fine vivid meal. The only vegetables that I really enjoy are broccoli, corn, and potatoes, and they were all here at. The vegetables here however could make any strict carnivore want more veggies. My favorite vegetable at the dinner was the sweet corn casserole, with crushed Ritz crackers on top that crumbled with every bite. However I still remember the green beans smothered in cream of mushroom soup and mixed with chunked potatoes. I also remember the broccoli and rice casserole because the cheese looked so good and because I love broccoli. I can remember like it was yesterday the sweet smell of the desserts in the oven and the other tasty treats that gave off sweet smells. I also remember the sight of the pie fillings bubbling outside the crust. A meal isn’t good without good dessert so of course we had tons of sweets.
