Schindlers List Film Review
...ie, firstly with the lists that the Jews were added to symbolized how they were having their identity taken away from them and then it also contrasted with the title of the movie (and the whole topic of the movie Schindler’s list). Another contrast was Schindler himself who at this stage of the movie was just another Nazi who was just beginning to get noticed by the Nazi leaders. He then began to save the Jews and give them their identity back when he made his own list, but this list was made off the top of his head and included many of the people from his factory and people he knew the names of, this symbolized the giving back of the Jews identity. I felt that the characters in the movie (real life people replayed from the holocaust) were excellent, especially the main characters of Schindler, and Goeth. Schindler at the beginning with the Nazi party but after witnessing the ‘liquidation of the ghetto’ realized that the Nazi’s were just killing off all the Jews because they were better than the Nazi’s. He then began to help the Jews by saving as many as he could by putting them into his factory and adding them to his list which in the end saved them. Goeth was just some kind of killing machine who’s only reason to exist in life was to kill Jews which was exactly what Schindler was trying to stop although they were friends and Goeth didn’t even know. Goeth fitted the part of a camp commandant. The actors in this movie were excellent and each played their character excellently, Liam Neeson who played Oskar Schindler fitted the part perfectly I believe....
