In 1983 when my mother had my brother she was the main health care carrier in the family. They had excellent benefits. She worked for Wakefern Foods the Shop Rite parent company and they really had excellent benefits. The paid her cash the difference between what the insurance company and the deductible that she had to pay out of her own pocket. She had my brother and did not owe the doctor or the hospital one penny and she did not have to use the insurance that my father had through the company that was then known as Flower Time a garden center that is now known as Frank’s. The health care package my mother had then is truly a thing of the past. My father has always had to carry the benefits from then on out and we have always had money deducted from his paycheck. The insurance has only been more expensive and less effective as the years have grown on. They even had a period of time when the insurance company paid so little when I had some serious medical problems when I was a baby it caused them to sell there house and pay medical bills. This is just one of the consequences that health insurance causes because you don’t have the funds to support the health care Health Care is a treated like a luxury but is necessary for every woman man and child who live in the United States today. In countries in Europe and Canada each individual is covered by insurance that does not cost the citizen anything. The doctors are not charged for huge malpractice insurance policies for the law suits that are illegal in those countries and the price of health care is manageable. The election has arisen many questions on this topic with the two front running candidates John Kerry and George W. Bush and they are approaching in two different ways. George W. Bush approaches by favoring the reducing of drug costs, as does John Kerry. John Kerry wants nationalized Health care, however he wants the taxes to be reversed and the Americans to buy into the government system. George W. Bush would like to keep the same system by improving it and doesn’t want to even bother with the...
