But something was out of her vision, Elton didn't love Harriet but rich fair Emma! He was obliged to say beautiful words of Harriet, because she wasn't Harriet, but Emma's friend in his eyes. Emma was sorry to hurt Harriet, she decided to make another and better one for her with Frank Churchill—Mr.Weston's son. Unluckily, he fell in love with Jane Fairfax. Finally, Harriet told Emma that the man of her heart was Mr.Knightely. Emma was surprised, she suddenly realized that she had already fallen in love with him…… However, everything went on well after setback. Emma was such a lady between girl and woman, she was clever and planned things fairly thoroughly, sometimes her foresight was hard to understand but actually right, this seemed she was a woman with grown-up sense. But she liked doing some childish games, such as match making, her words were full of childish humor, she "considered herself always right", so in a way, she was still a girl. I'd rather regard Emma as the mixture of both, the character was truer then. Of course, Emma was a good lady, although she often did wrong things. This was why I like it so much, after all she wasn't a fairy or god, she was a real, very true person—a person can not live without any mistakes! Emma was sculptured as an amiable lovely little thing successfully by Austen. Emma seldom thought about herself when she was making matches for others. She made it for Miss Taylor and Mr.Weston, though she knew she might lose a good governess, and above all a nice friend. When Miss Taylor married, she didn't at all repent about what she had done for this couple, she blessed them, though that brought her a gentle sorrow—not in the shape of any disagreeable consciousness. Some of you may not agree with me, you maybe think that Emma was a little bit selfish, she kept Harriet from loving Martin because she wanted to keep her for herself. I don't think so, Emma was not this kind of people. She did this...
