Embryotic Stem Cell Research
...tening diseases. Just because you personally and your family members are healthy and not affected, does not mean there are not others in the world who are in pain, depressed and severely handicap. Just some of the many problems stem cells could cure include: Congestive heart failure, stroke damage, replacement joints, retinal degenerations, hearing loss, cerebral palsy, bone diseases, leukemia, blood and vessels, kidney failure, diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, Lou Gehrigs disease and many other neurological disorders. As well as making antibody cells and building new organs to be implanted in replacement of damaged ones. There are so many beneficial things to come from embryotic stem cells the research and possibilities are endless. In order to do more research and make the cells that would cure all these disorders and diseases, they would have to grow embryos in a laboratory setting. This process would start out by in vitro fertilization in a petri dish and begin to grow into stem cells. Much more research has to be done before actually implementing this process of implantation and the only way to get enough cells to research is through embryos. On the other hand, this creates a problem for most of the same people who disagree with abortion. The process of growing embryos would technically be creating human lives and destroying them over and over. Is the embryo considered at...
