This reflects the jobs they perform. Blue collar working parents have more independence and aren't watched constantly like working middle class parents, so they allow there kids to have a bit more freedom and develop how they feel best. The second example of agents of socialization are neighborhoods. Some neighborhoods are better for children than others are. Children from poor neighborhoods are more likely to get in trouble with the law, to get pregnant, to drop out of school, and to end up facing a disadvantaged life. Studies also show that neighbors from upper class neighborhoods watch out for the children more. There is a lot more communication and parents tend to know each other in these richer neighborhoods. It is quite ironic that in those neighborhoods that are the riskiest for children is adults don't watch out for the children as much as in the upper-class neighborhoods.
