Gun and America

...e fear and the state of shock she was in, in her voice. Another footage of the movie that effected me was when Michael Moore went to K-Mart with those boys from the shooting, and tried to get them to stop selling bullets and ammunition in their stores. The fact that K-Mart actually agreed to that was quite shocking to me, and I have much more respect for that corporation now. Many people think that America has more gun violence because we have so many guns. But according to Moore’s research, we have just as much, or less guns then other countries do. Canada for example, they have more guns then we do, but they have a much less crime rate with gun violence then we do. It’s the people we have in our country that make this violence happen. Americans just seem to be way more violent than other people from around the world. We don’t hear about kids killing friends or classmates in other countries the way we hear about it in America, and people aren’t going out killing innocent people for stupid reasons as much as they are in America. I think the biggest problem with guns is that adults aren’t responsible with them. If somebody wants to have a gun in their house, that’s fine, but you don’t need to let your kids know you have one, and especially where you keep it. If a kid wants a gun that bad, and knows where it is, they will find a way to get to it, even if the adult thinks they can’t. I also think that having a gun is okay if you use it for recreational activities such as a sport or going to the shooting range, but I don’t think that the bullets and ammunition for them should be so easy to get. I think their should be an age limit...
