Analysis of the Problem or Situation In recent years, the Jaguars football/cheerleading team has illustrated a significant need for change. The root cause of several team problems could have been eliminated with effective communication practices. Demonstrated factors that have recognized the need for change include increased parental complaints, missed deadlines, partial participation, and overall negative results. The main problem with the communication styles of the Jaguars football/cheerleading teams are that the “leaders” of the team have not developed the foundational skills necessary to be called leaders. The definition of a leader is one who has the ability to influence a group of individuals to achieve a common goal.
