How could a child live their life to it’s full potential if it doesn’t receive the care and attention every child needs and deserves? Studies have shown that children who do not develop a good interactive relationship with their primary care giver, are prone not to do as well as others later on in life. Then of course there are the exceptions that even pro-lifers, who are against abortion, might approve of. Women pregnant out of incest or rape should not have to keep their babies. A child from incest has a great chance of having mental and/or physically problems. And a rape victim should not have to keep a child only to remind he time after time of her traumatic ordeal. Another exception would be if the mother had a serious health problem or if she were extremely too young to give birth. A mother should not have to put her own life in jeopardy by giving birth to a child that may cause serious problems. A young girl, may not be built to deliver a baby because of her age. A girl so young that it would cause an even greater deal of pain to because of her physical structure, should not have to keep her child. Of course for some of these cases there is always adoption. But many children who get put up for adoption never even get adopted. They often move from foster home to foster home, without ever really having a family to call their own.
