...s one of Caesars friends. Cassius knew it would be hard to get Brutus on his side, but he knew he could do it by flattery. So he went to find Brutus, he was very careful of what he said because he did not want Brutus to get mad and not want to help him. He finally talked Brutus into killing Caesar. Even though Cassius talked Brutus into helping him; Brutus had motives of his own. When Cassius first brought up the idea of killing Caesar; Brutus did not go for it. But then Brutus began to think about Rome and the Roman people. Brutus had grown up in a wealthy family. He was of noble blood and he did not want Caesar to change the type of government his family fought so hard to have.
