Virtues of Biowulf vs Father
...that is right. During the poem, he slays monsters and dragons that stand for evil and ugliness. Aside from Beowulf’s obvious characteristics is his assertiveness throughout the story. Some other characteristics that Beowulf possesses are chivalry and assertiveness. My father comes to mind when I think of a hero. Throughout my childhood he has been there to protect and guide me. To me he represents the definition of human being. He is courageous and would go to any heights to protect his family. He shows that he is caring when he makes sacrifices to make my families standard of living better. He shows Bravery because he is his own boss everyday when he goes to work, and chivalry. He treats my mom with respect and love. This is more or less how I try to live my life. Beowulf and my father have a lot of characteristics in common. I think this is because they both follow the same virtues in their lives. Beowulf and my father are similar but not in all aspects of their characteristics or actions. My father in life time would never quest a treasure or slay anything. In our modern age we have laws and punishment for not following laws. Plus law enforcement to uphold the law. In this day and age Grendel would not make if far without being subdued by many foes with firearms. My father and Beowulf are very different in a few virtues.
