Weeghman was a very hard worker, and like things to be done very quick and easy. 3. The park was first named after Charles Weeghman, which was called “Weeghman Park” B. The second major owner was William Wrigley Jr. 1. William was a great salesman; “he used to brag that he could sell pianos to armless men in Borneo.”(Jacob Pg. 5). 2. When Wrigley became the main owner his family name just stuck to the ballpark that is how it became Wrigley Field. Charles Weeghman was a fast and harder work that is why he hired Zachary Taylor Davis and Charles G Davis to construct Wrigley field. A. The Davis brother were from Aurora, IL, and had their own firm which was Davis and Davis 1. The park was built with 490 workers, cost $250,000, and included four thousand yards of soil and four acres of bluegrass, and was built in less than seven weeks. B. Wrigley Field was created in April 23, 1914. 1. The very first game was only supposed to seat 14,000 fans but 20,000 fans had showed up to watch the first game in the new ballpark. 2.
