It says that there are seven states that have no hate crime laws, twenty states have hate crime laws that do not protect sexual orientation, and twenty-four states have hate crime laws that do include sexual orientation. Hate crimes are not committed against just one group of people, there are different groups of people out in the world that experienced different hate crime actions at least once in there life time. There are arguments for and against hate crime laws, there have been arguments that “sometimes advanced by supporter of hate crimes laws is that violent acts is motivated by political or similar reasons are characteristic of less-civilized third world countries”.
