After a day’s hard work, I always indulged myself with some more rest. And by repeating “there is still time in front of me,” I advanced in this project slowly. Until one day, I suddenly found deadline was just 30 days away and most of the work kept untouched. So I had to put off the deadline for this project and rescheduled my entire timetable to relocate in a new career. This result added to my problems. From this particular case, I realized my objective-achieving system lacked a pushing mechanism to make projects progress at a steady and proper pace. And through this realization, together with the hard work in the following two months, I learned one important lesson in managing personal objectives: set sub-deadlines or timescales in plans and take stock regularly.
