... you see child like eyes looking back at you. Taking a closer look you see a smile that is warm and inviting. You can tell by her actions and how she talks in her quite voice that it’s her friends and family that keep her going strong. She makes old age seem like the golden years in life. She makes you realize how lucky you are. Even though she can do so little she has a joy like no one else. With a brain like a history book, Great Grandma Snyder can tell you all about American History. She is a very wise woman with many stories to tell. As I look at her when she is telling a story about the past I notice her wrinkles on her forehead and face showing her wisdom. She tells me stories about how her dad owned the first car in the neighborhood and about how times were hard during the Great Depression. Sitting in her big comfy chair in a colorful sun dress she would ask me if she was boring me. I always reply, no because I find her stories quite interesting. She then would go on telling me more about her life. Hearing about all of the things she had been through I realize even more how lucky I am. All through the stories she had a smile on her face. You see just how much she loves her family and friends. I visit my Great Grandma Snyder every Christmas, but one Christmas was extra special.
