For example the Americans fighting the Iraqis or the Israelis fighting with the Palestinians. In the play it might just be two families fighting each other but that is just a microcosm of the larger picture today. The Capulet family can be seen as the Americans and the Montagues represent the rest of the world. The Prince could either be Kofi Anan, Nelson Mandela or even Gandhi .All of these people try/tried to bring peace into the world but no one listens to them. The same as the Prince. He warns the families that if they ever fight again on the streets of Verona then they will have to pay the price of death. But they take no notice of his words and soon after those words they are fighting again. Only this time they pay the price of death. Also in the wars that go on now a days the soldiers pay the price of death. There are even more deaths than in the play. But they wont stop having wars ;just the same as the Montagues and the Capulets th...
