"Osiris and Isis"
...nt to maintain peace in the world is a result of love. When Osiris, a symbol of love, is present throughout the myth the land is filled with ornate language and breathtaking poetry. He showered the world with knowledge and appreciation for their creations. The society was serene until Seth’s strong hate toward Osiris triggered him into destroying Osiris. Once Osiris was non-existent the world filled with hate, war, and all beauty was destroyed. Isis love for her husband motivated her to seek the world for him. Since she was divine she was able to breathe life back into him and peace was restored once again. Seth was angered by this act and tore Osiris into fourteen pieces, destroying the peace and beauty that came with Osiris. Since Isis’s love for Osiris was everlasting she once more searched the world bringing the pieces back together and making the world ideal. In the myth “Theseus” the main character Theseus’s outcomes are a result of a powerful feeling, love. When Theseus went to seek his father, the witch wanted to poison him. Due to the love that King Aegeus had for his son he saved him by knocking the cup over, thus saving Theseus’s life. Furthermore, providing that Ariadne fell in love with Theseus, he was able to use her knowledge of the monsters site to plot out a plan and slay the monster. If she wasn’t in love with him then Theseus wouldn’t stand a chance against the monster, but rather he would have died. With the defeat of the monster peace was once again restored throughout the land. Love is a key factor in maintaining peace in a society. In “Osiris and Isis...
