Next is the fear that Tituba has due to all of these girls blaming her for the witchcraft. Tituba is beaten, and since she is a slave she is worth very little to her owner Paris. Tituba fears death because she knows Paris has no problem killing her to save himself. Reverend Hale gives Tituba a way out by just simply admitting that she was possessed by the devil.
