The Art of Being Late
...en care of. Late night Redsox games also make getting to bed hard. If I do not get enough sleep, I will sometimes sleep right through the 2 alarm clocks I have set. Even when I go to bed early something can go wrong. I should have this whole waking up thing down at this point; but sometimes when your sleeping you are sleeping, and nothing can change that. Ok, great! You have successfully woken up on time and are on the road thinking everything is going according to plan. You know to give yourself enough time to battle the horrors of route 3 south. Every now and then you pull off the race against time on route 3; Other times you will slamming your fist against the steering wheel in quite the frustrating manor. I have to take the highway everyday for school. Some days there will be no traffic, other days will have mild traffic, and other days it is just completely hopeless. The hopeless days are what kills me. I can tell if it is going to be one of those days before I even get on route 3, because you will see the line of cars trying to get on it a half mile away. I do not know why this happens; but days of successfully beating traffic in consecutive days ends way too often. Once you have route 3 mastered, guess again. Traffic causes me to be late about 4 or 5 times every few weeks or so. Wow, you woke up on time, beat route 3 traffic, and are now pulling into the MCC parking lot. While pulling in you have a sigh of relief noticing you have made it with just minutes to spare. You actually think you are going to be on time for once. Oh no! There are no spots. This is when you have to face the harsh reality parking in the “G” or sometimes even “V” lots. This will tack on another 10 minutes at least in your attempt to get to class on time. Occasionally you can luck out though, by catching someone leaving out the corn...
