Athletes:the game or fame

...proves that money has become the center piece of sports. With players being sold to other teams, and demanding more money, it makes one wonder if they are in it for the money or for the love of the sport. From the outside, it looks as though these athletes are ungrateful because they always complain that they are not getting enough, or that someone else is getting more. Whatever happened to playing the game for the love of the sport and not the amount of figures on a piece of paper? Now it is nearly impossible for athletes to just be a sports player. Barry Bonds should be one of the greatest role models to fans and players in that he tries hard to only care about the game, and not let things on the outside carry him away from whom he started out to be.
