This story tells the life of an upper class young lady named Laura and her out look on life. She loved the little things in nature that most people in a hurry wouldn’t bother to notice. From the wind, to a flower, to sun-spots on her wall she soaks in every little thing that is beautiful in the world. In this story she is planning to have a garden party for all of her friends. But during the preparation, terrible new reaches her, of the death of one of the men who live in the valley. After the party, her mother sends her with food, down to the lower class home of the wife and children that were left behind.
