Corn Maze

... barn to buy our maze tickets. As we stood in line for our tickets, my nephew, age 10, was pretending not to be scared. We purchased our tickets and headed toward the corn field. The night air was crisp and cool, but at the same time it was refreshing. The moon was full and high in the sky, giving us the light we needed to make our way to the entrance. As we entered the corn maze, we decided to pair up. My sister and her friend were clinging to each other like frightened children and my nephew was starting to cut off my circulation. We walked slowly through the maze with only the moonlight to guide our way. The usual ghosts and ghouls jumped from between the cornstalks, but there was on we were not prepared for. The faint screams in the distance made us curious as to what was ahead. The low rumble of some mechanized object made my nephew cling even tighter to my already dead arm.
