At this time, office hours were officially closed, and as we walked into the office, the employees at that branch notified me that the Cargo Van they were holding for Mr. Kuctha had been rented. They believed he would be a no show. Obviously Mr. Kutcha was quite upset, as he began to wonder if he was even going to be able to find a van at this point. I began to call many offices in the Northern Virginia area, on their after hours telephone lines, and finally was able to find an extra van in Falls Church. They agreed to hold the van for us, and from this point, I drove Mr. Kutcha all the way to Falls Church. Upon arrival, it was nearing 1:00 p.m. (One hour after official closing time) I built phenomenal rapport with Mr. Kuctha on the ride over, and was inquiring as to where he was moving, and what type of work he was involved with. By the time we reached the office, we were both laughing at the whole situation. I even made some references to a popular Seinfeld television episode poking fun at rental car companies, and how they have trouble holding reservations. Once we reached the Falls Church office, I walked Mr. Kuctha through the entire rental procedure, and treated him just like he was one of my customers, even though technically he was renting with the Falls Church branch. I felt since I had built the rapport, I would take ownership of the situation. After consulting with the branch manager at that location, it was agreed upon that Mr. Kutcha could return the van to the Enterprise ...
