Hockney has always denied being a pop artist, but under his heading this is how the public perceives him. Immediately after High School he decided to fly back to London and start school at Royal College. After Hockney graduated college he realized it was time to get a job and he then got accepted into a pop art program. As soon as the day David started his job he loved it right away more than anything in the world. Apparently after college David flew back to America for a while. David had found out about a crisis going on in his family, his father had just died from a stray bullet [ meaning the bullet wasn’t meant to hit him].
