Air Jamaica
...ook off on the runway, it sounded like the plane engines were roaring as loud as they could as you shoot up like an explosion into the sky. We finally were coming in for the landing at Atlanta Airport. It was a very big airport and you could see many different strips as other planes were taking off as we were coming in. We got off the plane and walked down the corridor to the luggage drop off. I grabbed my two bags and I saw a big food area. Subway, Burger King and different kinds of pizza everywhere. The food places looked like they were all trying to jump out at you to buy their food. The intercom reported our flight number and we grabbed our bags and took off for our exit. I could see the huge plane from across the room through the glass panels. It had orange, green, black and red stripes all over the plane. Right there in the middle it jumped out and said “Air Jamaica”. I like how they have their very own planes and no other country does. We entered the plane and I noticed when we got in that it was all Jamaican people. It was cool because they had a weird accent that caught my ears. I sat down in a comfortable chair as the lady asked me if I wanted the steak or chicken for lunch. Our whole family got the steak and it was really good. We finally took off our runaway as we soared into the bright sun. It was a beautiful view of the ocean. I had the window seat again and I starred out the whole time during our three hour trip out of Atlanta. The ocean looked so blue and colorful. We were starting to fly into Jamaica. There was only a couple runways to use as we came in over the sea and landed. I stepped out of the plane and it felt like I was in heaven, there was a tropical fruity smell and it was nice and warm. Their airport was very tiny compared to Atlanta. Our taxi driver loaded our luggage and we were off. He saw our exit and the taxi driver pulled into our hotel. It was called Sunset Beach Resort and Spa located in Montego Bay. There were two tall towers that looked like skyscrapers. The bellman helped us to our room twenty-two on floor three. There were two queen sized beds and a very beautiful view of the ocean. The first night consisted of playing pool and sitting at the beach. When I played pool it was very interesting because I played husband and wife from England and a guy from Chicago. The couple from England was fun to go against because they always spoke in German. When I played the guy from Chicago, I made the eight ball on the break which is a very good thing and means you automatically win. It’s very cool how the couple from England had totally different lifestlyles compared to me, but we havea similarity and like to play pool. That night was a great first night while being there.
