The only reasons Elie survived were his faith and endurance. Elie had to keep himself going; or he would have been killed. Night really helps you see the hatred between Hitler and the Jews and how Hitler thought it should have been solved. The book also showed, that life for the Jews was great one day, and over a weeks time, it had turned into a disaster. The Jews did nothing to deserve the hatred they received from Hitler, but in turn were punished anyway. In reading, Night, students will understand the Holocaust, in stead of just know the basics. When something relates to you, people tend to understand the topic more. Night is written through a young teenager’s eyes. High school students are able to relate to the pain and feelings, because the victim is the same age. Though the book is detailed and has gruesome parts, over all it is very informative. Elie Wiesel, writes the book to make you feel sorry for the Jews, and to have pity upon them; also making you despise Hitler. More importantly, Night opens up your eyes to the tor...
