...ral different camera angles to capture the full effect of what was happening. With these effects Branagh adds set a tone for an enjoyable movie and that everything will be fun to watch. Question # 4: One of my favorite scenes from the play Hamlet was the scene where hamlet puts on a little skit about a murder of someone of higher authority. He named the skit “The Mousetrap.” In the scene everyone was watching this skit including Claudius and Gertrude. The skit showed a man pouring something into a sleeping mans ear in order to kill the man. While watching this Claudius got very nervous knowing that he had killed the former king that same way, thinking that Hamlet might have known what happened. Hamlet knowing this produced the skit himself, hoping that Claudius would breakdown. Claudius in few of the films sat there in disgust, and in the others he ran out not knowing how to react. If I were to film the scene I would make it a lot like the Branagh production. I would want a lot of controversy to stir up. There would be a lot of yelling and almost to the point where they would fight. I would have Hamlet questioning Claudius asking why he was so upset. Claudius on the other hand would be asking what the hell Hamlet thought he was doing. The crowd would then become confused. After enjoying the play a lot the crowd would begin to wonder why Claudius was in deep disgust. From there the audience would begin to question what was going on between Hamlet and Claudius. This setting up the scenes to come. Question #6: Claudius and Gertrude were portrayed as characters with different feelings throughout the all four films. Claudius to me was a bad man.
