When a baby is born they come into the world neutral, as they grow and learn they gain personalities and good or bad habits shaped by society and their living conditions. Jack’s full personality and primal nature come out when stuck on the island, which is shown in this quote, “I cut the pig’s throat,” (Golding 69) Jack gains more power over time. Out of the two groups the evil grows prominent under Jacks leadership. The children fear what is to happen to the good group and therefore join the easier evil group to be safe. Jack happened to be shaped as an evil human where as Piggy and Ralph were raised as good-natured. The absence of society caused the boys with evil in them to let it all out. Everyday they let out more evil gradually.
