...to a Catholic private school because they believe that the more their beliefs are pushed on me, I will finally give in. I want to be able to make my own decisions when it comes to my spiritual life, but my parents and sister just want to follow the religion that they were raised with. They never question the Catholic lifestyle because they are more conformist than I am. I have always wanted to be my own person and find out things for myself. This quality definitely pushes me away from being like my family. I may be really close to them but our beliefs are very different than one another. Another area of my identity that tends to be conflicting with my family is my age. I am at a point in my life where I want to be on my own and do my own things. It always feels like my family tries to hold me back. I have a very different outlook on life than my parents and sister do, but we all have the same goals. We want to work to our maximum potential and always be trustworthy. But we all have different ways of living our lives out...
